Do you remember hearing about the Kia Ray EV? It was an electric version of the Ray that was offered in limited production for government use only in South Korea. Well, it seems like the brand has been working on a rather impressive follow-up to this vehicle: the Kia Soul EV.

Though no official specs have been divulged, Kia World reports that the new Kia Soul EV will be launching in full production in the United States in the first half of next year. It's also headed to other parts of the globe, including China and Europe.

Rumor has it that the official reveal of the vehicle will happen soon, and once it hits production, it will be the first mass produced electric vehicle from Hyundai-Kia.

According to the publication, "It is believed the Soul EV will be capable of running about 200 km (124 miles) on a single charge, with a top speed of 140 km/h (87 mph). The powertrain will be full-electric and will take the Soul EV from 0-100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in under 12 seconds, shaving 4 seconds off the best time by the Ray EV."1

The publication also notes the Soul EV will be sold for the equivalent of $35,000.

As soon as the official specs are released, Fox Kia will be sure to inform Grand Rapids, and greater Kalamazoo and Kentwood, MI area drivers know more about the electric vehicle. In the meantime, don't hesitate to check out in the incredible new Kia models we currently have in stock.
